Brett Binder Run/Walk Begins on Monday!
We are excited to share that our 15th annual Brett Binder Run/Walk will begin on Monday.  Brett was a former student who passed away at the age of 19.  One of Brett's fondest memories of Glenbow was the annual Run/Walk.  In 2007, the annual Run/Walk was renamed the Brett Binder Run/Walk.  Brett was a respectful, hardworking and courageous young boy/man.  This run/walk is a special way for us to remember Brett and the importance of being kind and working hard to be the best that you can be.

We will start our day on Monday with an assembly at 8:15.  We will then head out for a 15 minute run/walk where students will collect popsicle sticks and chart their progress over the next two weeks.  Each day, parents are invited to join us for the run/walk.  You can join your child outside right away when we begin.

40th Annual 3 - 5km Fun Run/Walk
On Tuesday, June 28th, we will be hosting our 40th annual 3 - 5 km Fun Run/Walk.  Students will make their way towards the Ranche for this fun event.  Parents are welcome to join us on this final run.  It is always so much fun!  We will begin this event at 8:30am.  Grades will stagger their start.  We hope you will join us!
Volunteers Needed:  If you are interested in volunteering to help supervise along the route and help with organization.  Please reach out to glenbow@rockyview.ab.ca if you are able to help out.

Will you be moving out of the Glenbow School area next year??
If you are planning to move out of the Glenbow School area next year, please reach out to the office to let us know.  At this time of year, we begin looking ahead to our school structure and class configurations.  This is helpful information as it allows us to adjust our numbers when looking at forming our classes.
If you are moving, please give the office a call to let us know.
Illness and attendance at school
We have a number of little bugs going around so we are just sending a gentle reminder to be sure and keep your child home if you are ill.  We are still following the Daily Health Checklist when it comes to illness.  You can find the checklist here to help you determine if your child should come to school and your next steps if they are displaying any illness symptoms:  Daily Health Checklist

Kindergarten Registration is Underway!

Kindergarten is an exciting milestone in the lives of children and their families. These early experiences set the foundation for lifelong learning and begin to build the skills children need to become confident, resilient and contributing members of the community.

Kindergarten eligibility established in the Education Act and subsequent Early Childhood Services Regulations requires students to turn five by December 31 of the school year they wish to begin Kindergarten. This means children born between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2017, can register for Kindergarten for the 2022/23 school year.

Before registering your child, please review the important documentation you'll need on hand.

Kindergarten registration for the 2022/23 school year is open.

Register Online

All registrations must be completed online.

New Families - To register a Kindergarten child who has never attended RVS, please create a new account via SchoolEngage at: https://rockyview.schoolengage.ca/

Please don't hesitate to reach out to the office if you have any questions.
