Fun Lunch on Tuesday:  Subway

Monday, March 7 is a professional learning day
No School for students

March 8 is International Women's Day. It’s a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality and the work remaining to be done.

We want to recognize all the amazing women on staff and moms/aunts/grandmothers who support our students each day.

International Women's Day is a day of unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy, and action.

Congratulations Melody!
Congratulations to Melody Fox in 3G for winning an Indigenous Princess Pageant this past weekend in Lethbridge, AB at the International Peace Pow Wow. Melody is the new 2022 Junior Miss Blackfoot Canada!
We are so proud of you!

French Culture Week at Glenbow
Glenbow School will once again celebrate French Culture Week. This year, our celebration will occur from March 21st to March 25th. During this week, all classes both English and French will participate in a number of activities related to French Canadian culture such as French music and songs, French BINGO, showcasing of staff and some student families who speak French, Sugar Shack activities, and digital activities from ACFA thanks to support from our Friends of Glenbow Society.

Kindergarten Registration is Underway!

Kindergarten is an exciting milestone in the lives of children and their families. These early experiences set the foundation for lifelong learning and begin to build the skills children need to become confident, resilient and contributing members of the community.

Kindergarten eligibility established in the Education Act and subsequent Early Childhood Services Regulations requires students to turn five by December 31 of the school year they wish to begin Kindergarten. This means children born between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2017, can register for Kindergarten for the 2022/23 school year.

Before registering your child, please review the important documentation you'll need on hand.

Kindergarten registration for the 2022/23 school year is open.

Register Online

All registrations must be completed online.

New Families - To register a Kindergarten child who has never attended RVS, please create a new account via SchoolEngage at: https://rockyview.schoolengage.ca/

Please don't hesitate to reach out to the office if you have any questions.

Alberta Education Assurance Survey - For Gr. 4 Families
Grade 4 families will soon start receiving the annual Alberta Education Assurance Survey from Alberta Education.  This survey provides feedback on things that are going well at Glenbow and areas that we may want to focus our improvement efforts.  We are hoping that all our grade 4 families will participate to ensure all voices are heard.
The package that is sent to each family by Alberta Education contains a Random Access Code (RAC).  You will use this RAC to log in to complete the survey.  If you do not receive this by the middle of March, please reach out to the office.  The survey is done on-line.
Thanks very much for helping us make our school a fantastic place for your children to learn and grow.  Your time is appreciated!
