A huge thank you to all of our students and staff for heading out into the community to do the Helping Hands clean up. A lot of litter was picked up around the community and there were certainly some interesting finds. Old clothes, electronics, packaging and a shopping cart were some of the items found. One boy even found $6!!!
Hats on for Mental Health - May 4
On the first Wednesday in May, Albertans are invited to wear a hat to raise awareness of the importance of good mental health. Participating schools will relax their hat rules and encourage students and teachers to build understanding by wearing hats to school. Students will also participate in a coordinated lesson on understanding mental health and the importance of removing the stigma associated with mental illnesses.

Construction Updates
Our roof is almost done! We anticipate about one more week of work until it is complete. It is looking amazing! We are also happy to share that the radon remediation was completed over the April break. Preliminary test results indicate that the remediation has resolved the concerns. We are thrilled this has been taken care of.

If you are planning to move out of the Glenbow School area next year, please reach out to the office to let us know. At this time of year, we begin looking ahead to our school structure and class configurations. This is helpful information as it allows us to adjust our numbers when looking at forming our classes.

Kindergarten Registration is Underway!
Kindergarten is an exciting milestone in the lives of children and their families. These early experiences set the foundation for lifelong learning and begin to build the skills children need to become confident, resilient and contributing members of the community.
Kindergarten eligibility established in the Education Act and subsequent Early Childhood Services Regulations requires students to turn five by December 31 of the school year they wish to begin Kindergarten. This means children born between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2017, can register for Kindergarten for the 2022/23 school year.
Before registering your child, please review the important documentation you'll need on hand.

Please ensure that your child's lunches do not include nuts or nut products. We have a number of students who have life threatening allergies. This includes things like peanut butter and nutella.
