Fun Lunch on Tuesday:  Jugo Juice
There is no school for students on Friday, May 20 (Professional Learning Day) and Monday May 23 (Victoria Day Holiday)

Thank you from our Kinders!
The Kindergarten Team would like to say a huge thank you to all the families that lent us their small skates for use in our skating program. Our students enjoyed 7 lessons on the ice this spring and they are well on their way to the Olympics!  This opportunity to develop confidence, gross motor skills and have a whole lot of fun was made possible because of your support.   We returned the skates this week.  If your family did not receive them, please contact Sandra Weinert sweinert@rockyview.ab.ca.   One pair that is labelled J. Houle doesn't have a home.  See pic below.  If you are looking for these skates or want to donate them to us, please let Mrs. Weinert know.

Grade 4 Parent Information Session
Grade 4 parents are invited to Mitford School on June 1st at 6:30pm for an information session.  The session is provided to answer questions you may have to help plan for the transition to grade 5.  Our students will also have a chance to visit Mitford before the end of the school year.  More information to come!
May is Asian Heritage Month

Asian Heritage Month is an opportunity for us to learn more about the many achievements and contributions of Canadians of Asian heritage who, throughout our history, have done so much to make Canada the country we know and love.

The theme for Asian Heritage Month 2022 is, “Continuing a legacy of greatness”. This month is a reminder for all Canadians to come together to combat anti-Asian racism and discrimination in all its forms.

Will you be moving out of the Glenbow School area next year??
If you are planning to move out of the Glenbow School area next year, please reach out to the office to let us know.  At this time of year, we begin looking ahead to our school structure and class configurations.  This is helpful information as it allows us to adjust our numbers when looking at forming our classes.
If you are moving, please give the office a call to let us know.
Illness and attendance at school
We have a number of little bugs going around so we are just sending a gentle reminder to be sure and keep your child home if you are ill.  We are still following the Daily Health Checklist when it comes to illness.  You can find the checklist here to help you determine if your child should come to school and your next steps if they are displaying any illness symptoms:  Daily Health Checklist

Kindergarten Registration is Underway!

Kindergarten is an exciting milestone in the lives of children and their families. These early experiences set the foundation for lifelong learning and begin to build the skills children need to become confident, resilient and contributing members of the community.

Kindergarten eligibility established in the Education Act and subsequent Early Childhood Services Regulations requires students to turn five by December 31 of the school year they wish to begin Kindergarten. This means children born between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2017, can register for Kindergarten for the 2022/23 school year.

Before registering your child, please review the important documentation you'll need on hand.

Kindergarten registration for the 2022/23 school year is open.

Register Online

All registrations must be completed online.

New Families - To register a Kindergarten child who has never attended RVS, please create a new account via SchoolEngage at: https://rockyview.schoolengage.ca/

Please don't hesitate to reach out to the office if you have any questions.

Glenbow is a Nut Aware School
