Welcome back to the 2021-22 school year. We were so excited to see everyone during the staggered entry days and all of you back today! We have missed all of you and can't wait to hear how your summer was! Although some things changed from last year, we will continue to focus on keeping you healthy and safe this year!

We will be holding our first School Council meeting of the year on Tuesday. All are welcome to join. The meeting will be held in the Learning Commons at Glenbow. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm. We hope you will join us!
Please note that masks will be required for parents/guardians joining our School Council meeting.
Terry Fox Run - Friday, Sept. 17
Glenbow students will be participating in the Terry Fox Run during their gym classes on Friday. This is the 41st year of the run! We will be collecting Toonies for Terry again this year. Our school has been a long-time supporter of the Terry Fox Foundation and we hope to raise whatever we can this year. Please see below for the following ways families can donate to the foundation this year. We have 3 options to accept donations.
1. Bring a toonie on the day of their run (on or before Friday September 17)

Dear RVS Parents/Guardians,
Today, the Rocky View Schools (RVS) Board of Trustees voted to alter the 2021/22 school year calendar and observe the new federal holiday, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, on Sept. 30. This day has been set aside by the Government of Canada to commemorate the history and ongoing trauma caused by residential schools and to honour the survivors, families and communities who continue to grieve for those who were lost.
The 2021/22 school year calendar now includes Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, as a non-operational day (no classes in school or online).
We recognize that this calendar alteration has been made with little notice to families and for this we apologize. As a public education institution, we believe it is an important step on our journey towards truth and reconciliation to recognize the history and legacy of residential schools in Canada.
The revised 2021/22 school year calendar is available on the RVS website.

Welcome Back Assembly!
The Crew from Glenbow Airlines was so thrilled to be heading out together on their first trip of the year! It was so much fun to host an assembly again for our students! We hosted an assembly on each of the staggered days and it was an awesome way to build community and welcome all students and staff back to our amazing school. Here are a few pictures of the event!
