Transportation Update
For those transportation families that registered for bus service between June 27 to Aug 15 and selected the 50/50 fee payment option the second/final automatic payment will be processed on October 1. For those that registered for bus service between Aug 16 to current date and selected the 50/50 fee payment option the second/final automatic payment will be processed November 1.
Should families wish to cancel service they are to complete and submit a Transportation Cancellation 2022/23 form by October 31 to obtain a full refund.
Are you interested in being a volunteer reader?
We are looking for reading volunteers at Glenbow School! If you or a family member are interested in helping children to develop a love of reading, please reach out to our Assistant Principal, Mme Sarah, at scaldwell@rockyview.ab.ca. Volunteering to read with students is a great way to connect with our community and get to know our school outside of your child’s classroom.
Birthday Treats
We know birthdays are a special time for all and celebrating is a lot of fun. With a number of dietary and food related allergies, we do not want food items brought in to celebrate birthdays. There are many other ways to celebrate the special day without cupcakes or donuts. Get creative and celebrate with non-food items for birthdays. Remember that there is no expectation to bring things in on your child's birthday. We celebrate each child's birthday at Glenbow by giving them a shout out in our morning announcements and giving them a birthday pencil.

We are a Nut Aware and Scent Free school. This means we want to ensure that all lunch and snacks do not contain nuts. We have a number of students with life threatening allergies. This includes things like Nutella and Peanut Butter. We also have students and staff with severe allergies to scents. Please do not wear any perfumes or colognes if you are volunteering in the school. Thanks for your understanding.
Please Drive Slowly in the School Zone!
As we get back to school, please ensure you are driving slowly through the school zone around Glenbow. We want to ensure all students get to and from school safely each day!
No Parking or Walking in the Staff Parking Lot
This is a reminder that there is no parking in the staff parking lot before/after school.
We also ask that you do not walk through the parking lot at anytime. It is a busy spot and we do not want anyone getting hurt.
