An Invitation to Pick Up Personal Belongings

Dear Glenbow Families -

We hope you are managing in these uncertain and unprecedented times. Please review the information below regarding the pickup of personal belongings.

On Monday March 23 and Tuesday March 24 from 8:15 am to 2:45 pm, students will have the opportunity to come to the school to pick up their personal belongings. Each student may be accompanied by only one adult (parent, relative, caregiver) when retrieving personal belongings.

Please note that it is mandatory you sign up and only come at the time you have booked; no walk-ins will be allowed. We must do this to abide by the new parameter of the maximum of 50 people in the building at any time.

Bookings will be done through the Conference Manager (School Soft), the program you have used in the past to book Student Led Conferences. This will open for bookings at 6:00 pm today, March 17, 2020 and will remain open until Sunday at 10 pm.

At your pre-booked time, you will come to your child’s designated entrance door. A staff member will greet you at the door, allow you into the boot room where you will collect your child’s shoes and their bagged belongings. You will not be allowed to move throughout the school, classrooms will not be open, and teachers will not be available. The front doors of the school will be locked.  If you have more than one child at Glenbow, you will need to go to each individual child’s designated entrance door.

Please make sure you know who your child’s home room teacher is and where their designated entrance door is, as we will have limited staff available.

We ask that anyone who is in self-isolation and/or has any symptoms of a cold or flu do NOT come to pick up the belongings. Please limit conversations and remain two meters from any other individuals while at the school. Your family and our families’ safety are a priority so please adhere to these requests. Please note, if you are unable to pick up your child’s belongings on these days, we will safely store them at the school to be picked up at a later time.

We would request any school library books, home reading books or other school items be returned at this time. We will have a return bin at each boot room.

Thank you so much for your support and understanding at this challenging time.  It most certainly is extraordinary for all of us. As mentioned in a memo from RVS sent to you yesterday, an update will be coming early next week with a learning continuity plan.
